Sonia Paget
Sonia established her first business endeavour in 2006 when she set up English Editing Experts, an online academic editing and translation support business, which enabled her to stay home with her young family. However, as her children grew up, she started looking for more lucrative means to contribute to the family, while maintaining the flexibility to stay home with them. Property investment seemed to be the most obvious answer. So, in 2016 and after extensive education, she established Paget Property Investments Ltd. with her husband, which focuses on the UK property market; a market that has proven to be abundant with opportunities. This new business allowed her to establish a legacy for her family in this ever more financially restrictive economic environment. Sonia has grown her portfolio rapidly to 13 apartments and is looking at acquiring another 6 apartments in the coming few months. Sonia works together with investors to ensure that their money is well invested and earning them more than they can achieve in many other institutions, particularly the banks, which are now working at negative interest rates. Since establishing her investment business, she has also set up a support group, EPiC, to support entrepreneurs, and primarily property investors, throughout Switzerland.

The presentation will touch on the basics of property numbers and area analysis. How do we determine if the numbers stack up? Will this investment be rewarding or potentially a nightmare? Is the property really worth the estate agent’s valuation of it? How do we research the estate agent’s claims of the potential income and value of the property? This is the first tier to conducting your due diligence on a property analysis. It’s where the due diligence of investment starts. This is desktop research that you can do prior to committing any further time or money to the investment.
